Livestreaming a WFU Event
Wake Forest livestreams many campus events, including conferences, discussion panels and flagship events such as commencement and convocations.
Departments may request to have their events livestreamed using the form below. CER will contact you with recommendations and cost estimates.
Livestream Request
Important: Requests must be made at least 10 business days prior to the event.
Requirements
Livestreaming a WFU event requires some or all of the following:
- Video: HD video camera(s) and operator(s)
- Audio: Microphones, audio controllers, speakers, audio engineer
- Additional lighting
- Encoding equipment and operator (provided by CER)
- Network connectivity over Ethernet (not wireless)
- Power availablity
Some venues on campus, such as Broyhill Auditorium (Farrell Hall), have dedicated AV equipment and personnel. The only additional requirement for livestreaming is the encoding device and operator. Other venues may have none of the required resources; in those cases the resources will need to be contracted for with non-WFU providers and charged to the event sponsoring department.
